VERONICA L. VARGAS, M.B.A.
FOUNDER, ART DIRECTOR

"If not me then who? If not now then when?"
- Unknown

veronicaVeronica Vargas offers more than 15 years of accomplished experience in management and administration in various industries including museums, arts organizations and healthcare driving achievement in fundraising and development.  Her experience also includes proficiency in program marketing, grant writing, mediation, event planning and analysis, and operational efficiency.  Veronica brings fresh valuable insight and knowledge regarding the leadership and management challenges faced by small start up and growing companies requiring tactical brand, image development and organizational coordination.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from the California State University at Fullerton in 1990, Veronica developed an interest in the museum and art industries where she applied her marketing and administrative leadership skills to the largest art museum west of the Mississippi, the Los Angles County Museum of Art (LACMA).  Seizing the initiative from the start, Veronica single-handedly managed its facility coordination department for an interim as well as numerous varied activities during the famed Van Gogh’s Van Gogh exhibition at LACMA, resulting in unprecedented revenue levels and “reputational” value to the museum.  Veronica was one of three out of over 300 employees who were awarded for going “above and beyond” their expected responsibilities during this renowned exhibition.

In order to experience the challenge of strained organizations, she joined smaller organizations and became administrative leader as Development Manager at a local history museum where she successfully wrote grants awarding up to $110,000 for educational programming and capital improvements.  She participated in all aspects of short- and long-range strategic planning, coordinated committee work and fundraising events, and served as museum liaison for the board of directors and Founder’s Circle members.

Leveraging an expanding portfolio of qualifications including adept decision-making, operations, marketing, general management and keen instinct as her core competencies, Veronica returned to Academia in 2002 to earn her Masters in Business Administration from Woodbury University at Burbank, California, where she was also very successful.  She received a letter of acknowledgement from the Siemens Corporation for an advertising campaign recommendation submitted to them (three months later an article in the Wall Street Journal reported Siemens was undergoing campaign changes, which were undeniably very similar) and earned membership into the Delta Mu Delta National Honorary Society, which is dedicated to academic excellence and creative business management for social and economic good.  She participated in an academic team that earned acknowledgement for placing 30th out of 500 teams in a business simulation competition program of national graduate schools.  She consulted for a successful children’s educational bookstore and produced an accurate diagnosis and solutions for a course project.  These accomplishments enabled her to graduate at the top of her class.

Immediately after earning her Masters in Business, Veronica parlayed her historical experience, education and competencies into a founding member and as Marketing and Business Development Manager for Source One Aircraft Repair (SOAR).  She is responsible for image, public perception and business development.  She was influential in shaping its strategy and directing its market position.  She was responsible for designing and creating all marketing materials, which includes the website, brochures, postcards, air show exhibition kits, and communication with the press.  She has drafted press releases, which have facilitated SOAR print media coverage in publications such as AviTrader, Aviation Week, Aviation International, Aero-News, Overhaul & Maintenance, MRO News and more.

With successful product experience now ranging from art to commercial aircraft repair, she has begun her own business consulting practice, Lion’s Bridge Consulting, located in Pasadena, California.  Convinced that business success, regardless of organizational size, is largely due to managing perceptions (both internal and public), relationships and cultural climate, her practice specializes in image perception, strategic development, accurate cultural assessment and diagnoses.  Since the founding of her own practice, Veronica has consulted for additional start-up companies in the service and product industries, including retail.

Veronica is currently a member of the Delta Mu Delta National Honorary Society.  Her hobbies include creative writing, visiting with family and friends, international travel, attending operas and self-improvement through meditation, reading and positive thinking.
